Everybody knows that you need to keep babies away from poison. And that’s not just because Bret Michaels is always asking people to talk dirty to him. It’s more because your kids don’t want nothin’ but a good time, and things that look like fun can harm them real quick. You know your baby thinks every brightly colored cube of plastic is a chew toy, and you’ve probably done your due diligence in putting away the things you think are the real killers.
As a father of four, Chris Diamantopoulos understands generation gaps. The funny, down-to-earth actor jokes that his 12-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son are in one time frame, while his 3-year-old daughter and 6-month-old baby are in another. Diamantopoulos — who is known for his roles on The Office, as well as The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse and Diary of a Wimpy Kid — says his children are just now getting curious about his TV work.
Once you’ve blown through all kids podcasts, and the parenting podcasts to listen to about kids, you probably want a podcast for dads that has nothing to do with kids. And because you live in an age where anyone with a halfway decent microphone and an opinion can broadcast, it’s hard to know what’s worth your precious minutes.
Below are a few of the podcasts that are not only worth your time but will arm you with a skill set that’s complimentary to being a dad.
2000s Teen Heartthrobs: Then & Now
2024-03-08
Now that we're old enough to see Y2K become trendy among teenagers, it's only natural we're curious about where the 2000s teen heartthrobs of our youth are these days.
The allure of the swoopy-haired, puka shell necklace-clad boys of the early aughts will never die thanks to social media and streaming giving younger people access to 2000s content, such as movies and TV shows like One Tree Hill or The OC.
Benjamin Bratt, an American actor and producer, has gained recognition for his roles in popular movies like “Bright Angel,” “Demolition Man,” “The River Wild,” “Traffic,” “Thumbsucker,” and “The Infiltrator.”

Pete Davidson is a modern style icon. He’s the kind of guy that can go to the Met Gala in a bucket hat and graphic t-shirt and make it a talked-about statement piece. He’s also the kind of guy who can dress like your uncle — Knicks hat, grizzled beard, white t-shirt, and New Balances — and make us all feel a little better about our style choices. Speaking of New Balances, in a recent interview with Complex, Davidson opened up about his unironic love for dad shoes — or at least his appreciation of them.
The Psychology of Normal Family Fights
2024-03-07
Parents fight with their children approximately 2,184 times a year, which translates to over 180 arguments a month, 42 a week, or six a day depending on how you do the division. The numbers, derived from a survey of 2,000 parents with kids ages 2 to 12, indicate that the average intergenerational family fight lasts about eight minutes, adding up to almost an hour of conflict a day. It might be tempting to assume that this information suggests that conflict is normal and common.

After a snippet of Drake's collab with Beyonce, "Can I," leaked last week, it looks like two new tracks have made their ways onto the interwebs -- "On a Wave" and "Go Out Tonight."
Both songs show us more of the melodic side of Drake, which we heard traces of in Nothing Was the Same but miss out on in If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. "On a Wave" delves into a relationship where Drake and Tinashe, who's featured on the track, are having a conversation about their relationship.
